A 260-center quick lube system catches outdated signage on day one

The director of brand standards used Vision AI on the first week of audits and found retired promotional signage and price boards at 42 service centers. Campaign execution checks now happen on launch week instead of the next quarterly visit.

The challenge

The system runs national service promotions six to eight times a year, each with window clings, bay-door banners and a price board change. Field staff could not visit every center during a launch window, so campaign compliance was checked months later, if at all.

Bay safety items, such as pit guards, spill kits and posted lockout procedures, were audited on paper with no photo. When a center disputed a finding there was nothing to show beyond the auditor's note.

Twelve regional field managers each scored differently. The same center could pass with one manager and fail with another, which the director of brand standards saw as the biggest source of franchisee distrust.

“The first week told us more about our promotional execution than the previous year of audits. Forty-two centers still had old signage up, and we had the photo for every one.”

The rollout

  1. March 2026Vision AI trained on the brand's current campaign artwork, retired campaign artwork from the prior 18 months, and approved exterior signage. The bay audit was rebuilt with photo requirements on every safety item.
  2. April 2026First audits on the mobile app. Vision AI flagged retired promotional signage or an outdated price board at 42 of the first 118 centers audited.
  3. May 2026Launch-week photo checks added for the summer promotion: center managers submitted six required photos through the Franchisee Portal, scored against the campaign kit.
  4. July 2026FBC calibration sessions run monthly using Executive Analytics to compare score distributions by field manager.
